Meet the Plane Baby Fam

Hi there! 

My name is Onika, and I'm a wife, mom, postpartum nurse, and founder + owner of Plane Baby & The Prop Shop. I am so excited to bring you our aviation-inspired baby + children's apparel, designed for those in and outside of the aviation community. It has been a great joy to create these products for your little love, whether that be your own kiddo, niece or nephew, grand baby, or one of your friend's kids. With our expansion into adult wear, we are equally thrilled to now offer beautiful items for the whole family. 

Why aviation-themed clothing? The aviation community is one that I have been lucky to find myself a part of since 2019. It all began when this cute guy (spoiler alert, my now husband!) took me out on our first date one August morning. This date was a little different than any others I had been on... he flew me to his favorite breakfast spot. Probably a little crazy for only briefly talking to him in person once prior to this, but now we fly with our baby to breakfast - so I think the date went pretty well! 

We love finding anything airplane-related to dress our boys (and ourselves) in. But what we quickly discovered is that there seem to be slim pickings. Sure, large clothing companies may put one or two plane designs out there. But, what if we filled the gap in the baby + kids clothing industry, by creating a small business with MANY aviation designs? 

Meet Plane Baby & The Prop Shop. 

Lots of thought and care went into developing these pajamas. It was important to me that not only would they look amazing, but they would feel even better on, especially while the whole family gets the rest they need to grow + prepare for another fun day ahead. That's why bamboo was our material of choice. It's a breathable, gentle, and incredibly smooth material - often described as "buttery soft."

In hand-drawing these prints and working alongside other artists, I have been inspired by classic airplanes, views from the airport, and the beautiful world we get to live + fly in. My hope is that these prints bring you 'joy in your journey,' a motto my family has chosen to live by.
